This Thursday boutique denim brand Earnest Sewn opens its Southampton summer outpost. It boards the bandwagon with Rugby East, Screaming Mimi’s, and Mulberry, who are all opening in the land where Brooks Brothers shall no longer rule this summer. The Earnest Sewn shop will feature the newly launched Earnest AM I and AEC&S collections, along with Lit’l Earnie jeans for kids. But we’re most excited about the exclusive outlet store in the back, where you’ll find previous Earnest Sewn collections at discounted prices. Affordable and the Hamptons aren't foes after all! The 1,300-square-foot interior is similar to the outdoorsy feel of Earnest's Lower East Side and meatpacking-district locations, with dark-wood shelving artifacts from the early 1900s strewn artfully about. Apart from stacks of denim, the Southampton outpost is going to stock hostess gift items like Santa Maria Novella fragrances and D.L. & Co. candles. It will also offer Jitney essentials, like Birdwell surf bags, Havaianas flip-flops, art books from Phaidon, and Filson luggage. — Lauren Murrow
