Our latest notable mannequin, Julie Mordovets, has been working hard for her moment in the model spotlight. The blue-eyed girl began modeling in 2006 and that fall scored the cover of Russian L’Officiel. Mordovets worked steadily for all of 2007, appearing in a Nordstrom’s catalogue and a few resort presentations for the likes of Nicole Miller and Badgley Mischka. Still, she hadn't caused a major sensation with casting agents. That is, however, until this year’s couture season. The brunette Ukrainian bowled everyone over with bookings at Givenchy, Valentino, and Chanel. Heading into September, expect her momentum to keep her riding high. —Kendall Herbst
