Earlier this week Frida Giannini staged her 2009 resort collection show for Gucci in the garden of the seventeenth-century Villa Aurelia in Rome. The designer chose Rome to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the opening of Gucci's Via Condotti store there. The clothes were just as gorgeous as the setting. Giannini explains the long, flowing dresses in vibrant colors and prints are meant to go easily from cocktail hour to evening.
