This morning, perhaps even as you're reading this, Anna Wintour is speaking to her Vogue interns, according to a letter to the youngsters circulating from the Condé Nast internship-program coordinator. The letter states Wintour will "discuss her career, stories of former successful Vogue interns and will give advice on how to do well in the business of journalism." Why, it sure is nice of Anna to share her infinite wisdom with the future! She'll even be so kind as to answer questions from them in the second portion of the talk. So the letter instructs the little Vogue-sters to prepare "thoughtful questions" by reading Anna's bio online. But more important they better arrive early if they want a piece of the action. The letter states:

The presentation will start promptly at 9:00am. I recommend that everyone is seated in the auditorium by 8:45am in case Anna begins a few minutes early. If the door is closed when you arrive, do not enter because you will have to walk in front of Anna while she is presenting.

And thus interns are the new black cats, so don't you dare cross her path. Godspeed to all of you.
