The sneaker buffs behind Alife Rivington Club have a new sporting-goods store in the works. Despite the impressive papering job at 157 Rivington Street (directly across from the Alife Rivington Club flagship), the store isn’t associated with the Nike Sportswear brand, which unveiled its flagship last month on Mercer Street. Although the store will be associated with Alife, the name of the new sportswear spot is still pending (word is Limited Edition Sportswear — or L.E.S., har-har — is a contender). It's slated to open in mid-November, and an Alife spokesman tells us the store will cater to the urban athlete so think of it as a swanky Paragon. The space will stock apparel and footwear from brands like Asics, Nike, Adidas, and Arc’Teryx as well as watches from Suunto and Bertucci.
