Welcome to the Beltway
A belted look by Marc JacobsPhoto: Imaxtree
Last season's waist-cinching trend is back for spring. But instead of thin belts, designers are crafting this accessory into thick, corsetlike items. Michael Kors, Anna Sui, and Marc Jacobs all opted for obilike wraps around blouses and dresses. Peter Som wove three belts into one, and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti showed just one buckle over a big bulk of sequined fabric. Meanwhile, Natasha Poly rocked a studded belt at Matthew Williamson that created a look that was half-punk, half-hippie. To see more big belts, check out our slideshow.
