The first stand-alone Christopher Deane boutique opened in Williamsburg this week. Christopher Crawford and Angela Deane design the label together along with the more affordable Sophia Eugene line. The cozy interior of their new Brooklyn outpost resembles that of their West Village Sophia Eugene boutique, with blue velvet furniture, nattily clad mannequins, and ornate gold detailing. The back wall is a patchwork of blue, a bold backdrop for the line’s signature slinky cocktail dresses, tanks, and skirts. The space doubles as the designers’ office and studio, separated from the shop by a curtained seating area. To commemorate the new boutique, from September 15 through 19, Christopher Deane is donating all the proceeds of their canvas “I ♥ ____” eco-totes to the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, an international nonprofit group. Head over for an (almost!) guilt-free shopping excursion. See more of the new store in the slideshow.
