Kate Moss’s Self-portrait Sells for $60K

An anonymous buyer purchased Kate Moss's self-portrait for 33,600 pounds (or about $59,962) over the weekend. The portrait created in 2005–2006 with lipstick and Pete Doherty's blood failed to fetch its reserve price of 40,000 pounds at auction, so it was then sold to the private buyer. Auction bids only reached 25,000 pounds. We're blaming the credit crunch. [British Vogue]
