Russian ‘Vogue’ Editor Channels Anna Wintour, Won't Replace Her
Rumors are circulating that Russian Vogue editor Aliona Doletskaya could replace Anna Wintour. She's held her current position for ten years and told Ruth La Ferla the rumors are "pure fantasy, just that — someone else's romantic notion." She also said, "Fashion is a world in which everything is gorgeous, stunning, caramel on top of caramel, and cream on top of that. But in reality you have to fire people, to say things that are not particularly nice. There is a contrast between what you do socially and what happens behind closed doors." Sounds like she and Wintour might not be that dissimilar. [IHT]
