In a scheduling snafu, fall 2009 London Fashion Week will overlap with New York Fashion week for one day, on February 20. After the CFDA announced it was moving the New York shows up a week, London had just four days for its Fashion Week before Milan started. Fashion Week officials from the three cities convened last month in an attempt to resolve the agenda, but neither New York nor Milan would switch its schedule. The British Fashion Council decided to go for the overlap because most designers showing in London support the decision. [Fashionologie]
