Master P’s Mastership of ‘P’ Challenged

And the award for best lead of the day goes to DNR:
Hip-hop entrepreneur Percy Miller might be glad he only occasionally goes by the nom de plume Master P these days. A new lawsuit alleges that he isn’t exactly the master of that particular letter.
That new lawsuit is actually a trademark-infringement case filed by Pepe Jeans London. See, Master P has a clothing line, and Pepe alleges the line's "P" logo is too similar to its own. They also take issue with the tags on Master P's clothing, which they say infringe "on Pepe’s tradition of displaying its P mark on a round plastic tab halfway down the tags of its merchandise." Someone remind us why we didn't go into the exciting field of trademark litigation again?
