San Francisco–based streetwear brand Upper Playground just opened its first East Coast outpost in the East Village. It's about damn time, too. We mean, London got a shop before us? No love. But the new store features a permanent art installation by David Choe as well as exclusive T-shirts designed by superFishal, 12Grain, and Grotesk. You'll also find Upper Playground's namesake line of bags, books, skate decks, and clothes, plastered with their signature walrus logo. See more from the new store in the slideshow and hone that urban je ne sais quoi.
Upper Playground, 437 E. 9th St., nr. First Ave. (212-254-2233); Mon.-Sun. (11-7).
