Although a trifecta of fashion show bailouts hit this week from Vera Wang, Betsey Johnson, and Carmen Marc Valvo — all of whom won't show at the tents in February — not everyone is shying away from Bryant Park this Fashion Week. Tommy Hilfiger is returning his show to the tents for the first time in three years after showing off-site at Avery Fisher Hall in past seasons. “We are thrilled to welcome Tommy Hilfiger back to the tents of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week,” Fern Mallis, SVP of IMG Fashion told us. “In this upcoming season, when America will be taking center stage, Tommy brings a unique American style to the runways of Bryant Park.” Hilfiger will show his fall 2009 collection at the main tent on Thursday, February 19. However, between the location changes and bailouts (and some that remain to be seen), writing down your February Fashion Week plans in pen might not be such a good idea.
