The Best and Worst of January Fashion Magazines

The January issues were so thin, it was almost shocking. But! Fashion and fantasy trudged on within their pages, mostly in the European issues, as usual. We also got our first taste of the spring 2009 collections. Zoo Germany brought us shocking nudes, i-D brought us glorious Gareth Pugh, and GQ brought us two of our favorite hot American men, Penn Badgley (shot by Terry Richardson!) and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte. As for this month's worst pages, Esquire included a gratuitous portrait of Chloë Sevigny, and Lydia Hearst proved why she should have just stayed a socialite.
