Men in Texas Spend the Most on Clothes

The annual average household expenditure on menswear in Austin is $1,788, the most of any U.S. city. New York came in tenth at $1,108, following a slew of western cities like Las Vegas (No. 2), San Diego (No. 5) and L.A. (No. 9). We're from Austin and we're confused. Khaki shorts, polo shirts, and baseball caps don't cost that much. And before you Northerners jump to any conclusions, no one wears cowboy boots. Maybe they're shelling out more for the increasingly rare loose-fitting pant. [WWD]
