Men’s Vogue Now a Vogue Barnacle
1/9/09 at 12:40 PM
Men's Vogue is getting very crafty for its April comeuppance. The magazine, which was recently downsized from ten to two issues a year, will return as a reverse-bound issue barnacled to the April's Vogue (get it? One cover is Vogue, the other is Mogue). This way it can reach Vogue's 800,000-plus subscribers, more than doubling its 350,000 circulation as a lone monthly. And it already has 25 pages of ads! Vogue publisher Tom Florio says if this strategy is a success, Vogue Living could come back. Splendid — we have been looking for a $1,300 doormat. [WWD]
