The first day of shows proved to be surprisingly diverse for once. Senegalese model Aminata Niaria closed for Charlotte Ronson and her fellow countrywoman Kinee Diouf closed Abaeté. Jason Wu picked Jourdan Dunn to open his show, which was perhaps a not-so-subtle tribute to his biggest fan, Michelle Obama. And for opening the most anticipated show of the day, Jourdan wins Friday's top spot. So does this mean the days of whitewashed runways are behind us? That remains to be seen.
