Neiman Marcus Down $509 Million; Showgoers in Paris Getting Cranky

• So no one's shopping at Neiman Marcus. The retailer lost $509.3 million in the fourth quarter, with a 21.4 percent sales drop. [WWD]

• People are, however, shopping at Marc Jacobs, which will open seven new stores in 2009. He just opened two in Bahrain. Next up: São Paolo, London, Chicago, and Hong Kong. [WWD]

• Paris Fashion Week is eight days long this season, and showgoers are already getting "cranky" and "grumbling loudly." Everyone from Vogue, except dear Hamish Bowles, leaves Paris today, which means they'll miss Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton tomorrow. If that doesn't define "over it" we don't know what does. • Simon Fuller is launching a website called Fashionair, which will operate like a TV channel, streaming shows about style and design in an attempt to drive traffic to more than 500 online retailers. Fuller also backs Roland Mouret and Victoria Beckham's clothing lines. [WWD]

Kate Moss went to the Chanel show yesterday, causing mass freak-out among worldwide fashion press, which still hasn't subsided. Hence we are informed today that hours after the show she was seen "dripping in jade jewels" from Chanel's fall 2009 collection. [Grazia]
