Rumors about Olivier Theyskens leaving Nina Ricci are still running rampant, since the house has yet to issue confirmation of any of them. It's pretty clear that the critically acclaimed fall 2009 collection he presented in Paris last week will be his last for the house, though his contract doesn't expire until October. Eric Wilson writes very matter-of-factly for the Times that Peter Copping, a senior designer for Louis Vuitton, will replace him, as WWD suggested a while ago. Others are speculating that Theyskens is working on a namesake line. If Copping is to helm Ricci, he's got some pretty big shoes to fill. [On the Runway/NYT]
