Shorties Gone Wild at the ANTM Auditions
3/16/09 at 11:00 AM
America's Next Top Model thought it would be a good idea to open its auditions to wannabe catwalkers five seven and shorter. To give them a shot at supermodeldom — like Kate Moss, who's not the usual height for models. But of course, this being ANTM and New York, things had to get out of hand on Saturday at the casting call. Like really out of hand. A stampede broke out when, after a car backfired, someone screamed that there was a bomb. Need we point out that you should never scream "bomb" or "fire" in a crowded area unless you're sure there is in fact a bomb or fire? Three arrests have been made and a few people were sent to the hospital. And yes, we have video of the mêlée.
This is why we can't have nice things, people.
