Having two weddings could be the new having kids before marriage in the rule book of celebrity social norms. Gisele and Tom Brady had two weddings, and Salma Hayek and PPR chief François-Henri Pinault had their second wedding over the weekend — and it was fabulous. After their modest, recession-chic, no-frills civil ceremony in Paris in February, Hayek wanted a big wedding, so the couple wed again in Venice before 200 people on Saturday. They easily out-weddinged Gisele and Tom (Gisom? Tomele?), even though the event was scandal-free. No celebrity sect went unrepresented, from film to fashion to music to politics. It was better than the Oscars! Guests included Penélope Cruz, Lucy Liu, Olivier Martinez, Charlize Theron, Bono, Lily Cole, Anna Wintour, and former French president Jacques Chirac. Hayek wore an ivory embellished gown by PPR label Balenciaga. The couple's daughter, 19-month-old Valentina Paloma, was a flower girl along with Pinault's kids from a previous marriage, which sounds absolutely adorable. After the ceremony everyone ate in an outdoor space filled with flowers within the museum of contemporary art that the Pinaults own. Guests arrived in black-and-gold masks and some changed for the reception, suggesting debauchery could have occurred. We couldn't ask for more from a high-profile wedding. So ... why did no one Twitter it?
