Accessories designer Carlos Falchi will create a line of handbags for Target. It's a surprising collaboration, since Falchi's work embodies all that is fabulous in a handbag — python, crocodile ... if it's expensive and you can make a purse out of it, Falchi has probably done it. For example, a 14-inch-by-9-inch Falchi python hobo bag goes for $2,790 at Saks. A 13-inch-by-7-inch python clutch costs $875 at Saks. His glazed-crocodile Doctor bag goes for $4,995 at Neiman Marcus. But his bags for Target will be made of faux snakeskin and will come in jewel tones like plum and teal with contrasting shades of brown, black, and gray, according to WWD. Faux snakeskin isn't our favorite material, but Falchi may as well do a Target collection. How many ladies in Dallas are really spending $2,675 on pink-crocodile fringed hobos these days? The line will be available from October 11 to December 27.
