Yesterday, Gucci America Inc. filed a complaint in New York against Guess? Inc. for trademark infringement. Gucci claims that Guess?'s use of green-and-red-stripe designs and interlocking 'G' patterns directly rips off Gucci's most famous line of accessories. Gucci also says that it appears that Guess? is deliberately trying to "Gucci-ize" its brand. In addition to seeking money damages, Gucci wants all items with the potentially infringing look to be destroyed.
