Lovely! British Elle has it that the cute/caustic Brit chavteuse Lily Allen will be starring in a new Chanel handbag campaign. Lil's a longtime fan of the brand — just read up on her closet — and was a favorite of the paps when she showed at Chanel's fall/winter 2009 show in Paris looking just darling in a black, pink, and white ensemble from the brand, carrying — you guessed it — a version of the iconic 2.55 purse. It seems she warmed the cockles of Herr Karl's Teutonic heart, and he'll be snapping the pixie himself in a photo shoot in Allen's native LDN next week. From urchiny songstress to full-on glamour-puss in just a few short years — they grow up so fast.
