Video: Anna Wintour Discusses Why Her Every Hair Is in Place

  • 5/14/09 at 4:00 PM

60 Minutes just unloaded more footage of their twelve-minute segment on Anna Wintour that will air this Sunday. In this clip, Morley Safer injects some snark into his interview with the Vogue editor-in-chief: "You made yourself the personification of Vogue. Look at you, not a hair out of place," he tells her. "Do you feel that that's your mission in life, to appear perfect?" But she doesn't back down. "It's very important to me that I look good when I go out publicly," she answers. "I like looking at my clothes rack in the morning and deciding what to pick out. I enjoy fashion, Morley, I mean, I wouldn't be in this job if I didn't." The piece will also feature interviews with Vogue editors André Leon Talley and Grace Coddington, and chairman of LVMH Bernard Arnault, as well as Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, and Nicholas Ghesquière. What will the Kaiser say? We really want to know. Click below for the clip.
