Of course, the "ze"s and "zere"s are a dead giveaway for the fictional Austrian, but you gotta wonder if perhaps Karl wasn't a source of inspiration for Sacha Baron Cohen. "On this day [Jan 1] each year, I soak the previous year's calendar in my mother's favourite perfume and then set it ablaze. Here's to a fresh start!" Oh Karl, you're truly one of a kind. Of course, the writer of the piece then spends an entire page blasting the fashion industry for being full of "megalomaniacs" and "despotic control freaks." Someone got left out of the cool kids' party.
