The Harvard Sophomore Who Shuns Sweatpants and Flouncy Hipsterwear

  • 6/10/09 at 2:00 PM

Our Video Look Book cameras couldn't resist a close-up look at the bright-green shorts on Harvard sophomore James Danner. He said he's part of only a small group on campus that tries to dress fashionably. “It’s a lot of sweatpants," he said. "And then you have a few people like me who can’t really conceive of wearing sweatpants every day.” He says he gets his Waspy style sensibilities from his family. "I’m mildly obsessed with the turn of the century, so I wouldn’t be surprised in the next ten years if I sort of went very much towards an Oscar Wilde direction," he said. "But I don’t want to end up a flouncy hipster, so I try and control myself a little bit.” Watch the Video Look Book to hear him talk more about Wasp fashion.
