The Linguist Who Stores Languages in His Giant Bag
Linguist Abe Haak believes in function over fashion. The day our Video Look Book cameras caught up with him, he wore a cowboy hat he bought at the Minnesota State Fair because he likes to buy clothes that can "take a beating." But he said his cap didn't fit as well here on the East Coast. "I cut about an inch and a half off the brim to make it more city." And his practical attire includes accessories, too. His supersize briefcase is vintage from Deloitte & Touche (yes, the accounting firm). "All the languages that I carry around with me can go in there," he told us. "Plus a computer or two." Watch the Video Look Book for details on his bag of tricks.
