It wouldn't be a Monday morning without news of a celeb or model launching a clothing line. Today, it's Amber Valletta! The supermodel turned actress is teaming up with L.A. clothing company Monrow to create basic wardrobe staples, like thin tees and tanks (to layer), day dresses, blazers, hoodies, a cape, a smoking jacket, and rompers. (She had us up until that last part.) Everything comes in navy, cream, black, light gray, and pale blush with accents of silver and gold, and prices will range from $65 to $80 wholesale.

“I’m not interested in making clothes that are not accessible,” Valletta told WWD “Sometimes it feels like it hurts when you make a big purchase, so I really believe that the more expensive things should be gems that you keep in your closet, not trends.” This we feel. But a romper going for $160 retail still isn't exactly chump change.

Valetta is joining the ranks of Erin Wasson and Christy Turlington in her MTD status. For those who don't quite recall, Turlington does yogawear. (Yes, that counts.) Valetta's collection for Monrow hits stores in November, and until we get a sneak preview going, we can't tell you what it looks like. But Monrow is full of really simple basics, so it stands to reason that as long as Valetta steers clear of any awful prints and maxi dresses, the line should do alright.
