For months now, the fate of financially insolvent couture line and Ab Fab source of devotion Christian Lacroix has been up in the air, with the founder, Mr. Lacroix, vacillating between defiant positivity and public hand-wringing. Bids for the fashion line have come and gone (some "insufficient," others "inconsistent"), but now an administrator for the house has announced that Italy's Borletti group has submitted a "serious" proposal to acquire the business. Let's hope they shake hands, trade checks, and put this whole matter to an end, shall we?
