Limelight Is Becoming a Store!

The Limelight nightclub, which first opened in 1983 in the church on Sixth Avenue and 20th Street, is becoming a store. Jack Menashe, who owned the recently shuttered Lounge boutique in Soho, is behind the new venture, naturally. He says the new store will be a "shopping haven." Maybe that means it will be full of disco-ball bras and other Lady Gaga clothes. Here's hoping he turns on the old strobe lights during business hours. [NYP]
