Couture Fashion Week's top model was Lara Stone. She closed the Chanel show, opened Jean Paul Gaultier, and walked for Givenchy. Known for her breasts, Lara is heralded for her Brigitte Bardot figure. Designers and photographers are so in love with her body she seems to appear nude in editorials more often than she appears clothed. Today, the Guardian reveals Lara is a U.K. size 8, which is a U.S. size 6. That's right: Couture Week's top model was a size 6. A rep at IMG said she varies from a 4 to a 6, and is probably a 6 "on her heavier days." Still, a size 4 model is a rare, rare thing these days, and designers are embracing Lara's shape without pressuring her to slim down.

The Guardian wonders if Lara's success points to a trend of heavier — well, size 4 or 6 heavier — models on the runways. IMG calls Lara the "exception," but agents suspect a shift will occur eventually. Supermodels have reigned in ad campaigns for the past several seasons, which itself points toward a shift since those women are fuller-figured (again, by modeling standards). In any case, that shape isn't preferred on runways yet.
