Phillip Lim’s New Shoe Line Hits Stores This Month
Phillip Lim already debuted swimwear and sexy lingerie this spring, and now he's giving us yet another reason to be excited: shoes! The 3.1 phillip lim fall 2009 shoe collection will drop later this month (no exact date just yet). We have some preview images of the styles, which Phillip describes as "classic with a sense of madness." The lace-up, masculine jazz shoes come with a stacked wooden heel and small platform in colors ranging from basic black to metallic gold. Ankle boots get an unexpected revamp in giraffe-print pony hair and rich gray suede with silver-stud details. We also love the tall riding boot in rich, soft, black leather. For past runway shows, Lim has worked with Christian Louboutin and Nicholas Kirkwood, both masters of the stiletto, but his own collection has a very different, much more wearable feel. The shoes are priced from $410-750 and will be available at the 3.1 phillip lim flagship stores in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
