Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum in Jeopardy; Rosie O’Donnell’s Fashion’s Night Out Plans

• Mariano Camio, the mayor of Guetaria, Spain, and head of the foundation to open a museum dedicated to Cristóbal Balenciaga, is under criminal investigation for mismanaging funds. Plans for the museum started in 1999, but nothing has materialized. [NYT]

• Pierre Cardin launched a new casual collection named Weekend during Istanbul’s Fashion Days last week. [WWD]

• Ex–Nina Ricci designer Olivier Theyskens is working on a book with photographer Julien Claessens, which will be released in January by Assouline. [WWD]

• Rosie O’Donnell is celebrating Fashion’s Night Out by reading from Nora and Delia Ephron’s new play, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, at the Giorgio Armani store. [NYP]

• Designer Tara Subkoff participated in a Q&A session at a screening of The Last Days of Disco. Earlier this summer, she had surgery to remove a benign brain tumor. [NYP]
