Former Abercrombie Employee With Prosthetic Arm Awarded £8,000 for Unlawful Harassment

Former Abercrombie & Fitch employee Riam Dean won £8,000 in her suit against the clothing giant. She said the store forced her to work in the stockroom after she wore a cardigan to cover her prosthetic arm and did not fit the "look policy." A central London tribunal ruled she was unlawfully harassed and that Abercrombie did not comply with employment law. However, the court did not find Abercrombie guilty of disability discrimination. Dean had sued for £20,000. [BBC]
