Backstage Video: Proenza Schouler’s Spring Girl Is Young, Fun, and a Little Grunge
Backstage at the spring 2010 Proenza Schouler show, designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez gave New York fashion director Harriet Mays Powell an up-close look at the new collection, which is young, fun, and very blue. This season, they spent a lot of time on textiles. Fringe that looks like feathers is actually silk shredded with a laser. “The girl is a little beat up, a little kind of grunge — she’s not perfect," Hernandez explains. Watch the video to check out the amazing shoes.
