Women have been calling Alexander McQueen's offices in hopes of purchasing their own pair of Alien shoes from the spring 2010 collection. The calls started the day after the show, with some looking "to buy them as art pieces," according to a spokeswoman for the label. And the others, who want to wear them, are unsatisfied having their ankles in one piece? The process of making the shoes is protected by copyright. It doesn't sound like the label is really toying with the idea of releasing them for the (very wealthy) masses, but McQueen is considering auctioning them off for charity. We don't know about you, but if we had them, we'd use them as weapons.
