Hair Is Going Up a Notch

Things are looking up this fall, at least in the beauty department. Designers are stacking hair high and twisting it into buns that aren’t even close to subtle. Ruffian’s Brian Wolk and Claude Morais sent models down the runway with tight, twirled knots that almost reached their foreheads. Behnaz Sarafpour also kept buns tight, but only used half of the tresses to create the chignon-esque look. And Catherine Malandrino decided to keep things messy with a teased knot that looked at least six inches tall. Bottom line: These aren’t your typical ballerina buns. At least now when your heels don’t give you the height you want, your hair will.
