Best Bet: To Die For

Skull- and pill-laden bracelets have drowned the marketplace as of late. But we have to admit we’re not the biggest fans of charms. Designer Cid Scantlebury’s version, a bangle with a skull and pill on each end, is a more delicate way to wear the trend. The two designs, which are sterling silver, come in a thinner Valium version ($70) and a thicker Vicodin one ($95), and are part of her Better Living Through Chemistry series. Scantlebury herself is no newcomer to the skull, pill, or rock jewelry scene; she’s been designing similar pieces since the late nineties. Pile them on with an armful of bangles and you’ll quietly be rocking away.
