Lindsay Lohan ‘Not Involved’ in Fall 2010 Ungaro Collection

Lindsay Lohan did not attend the fall 2010 Emanuel Ungaro show in Paris this morning. “She’s not involved in this collection,” Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah told WWD backstage. Lohan has been attending shows and events in Paris, however. Last night, while the Oscars went on, she turned up at the launch party for Turkish Vogue.

Karl Lagerfeld lent his support to Lohan over the weekend. “It’s not doing her justice because she’s the sweetest girl in the world,” he told WWD of the Ungaro backlash. Yet no matter how nice she is, her presence at the label hasn’t helped sales. In fact, it seems to have hurt them. Nylon noticed last week that Net-a-Porter added some Ungaro pieces to their stock list. However they were all from the resort collection from before Lohan was brought on. The website, it was previously reported, dropped Ungaro for spring, as did Neiman Marcus.

From Nylon:

So we dug deeper, and realized that (via Lindsay’s twitter!) there’s only one Spring ’10 Ungaro for sale - a white leather jacket with heart sequin cut-outs. It retails for $5000, through Luisa Roma, the Italian luxury store.

Last month it was reported that the Ungaro boutique on Madison would hold a blowout sale and then close down. We haven’t been up to Madison to check it out since, but the Creed boutique next door told us this morning by phone that the store hasn’t been open since its liquidation sale a week ago.

So this morning in Paris, designer Estrella Archs took a bow at Ungaro by herself. Here’s a first look at her collection, sans Lindsay.

After last season’s heart-shaped glitter pasties, which were stuck to models’ foreheads and breasts, it doesn’t look like she’s worse off solo.
