Limelight to Open Friday
After months of hype, the shiny new 25,000-square-foot Limelight Marketplace opens to the public this Friday at 2 p.m. (There's a grand-opening party on Thursday night, from 7 to 10 p.m., but it’s invitation-only.) The transformation from nightclub to mall is complete — instead of scantily clad club kids, it’s now more likely to be packed with teens and tourists. The three-level space includes restaurants, gourmet-food shops, J. Sisters Salon, and a high-low mix of stores for clothing, housewares, books, flowers, and accessories; we’re expecting an amped-up version of the Chelsea Market.
