Iman Has ‘A Whole Crew’ of People to Get Her Ready Every Day

Iman happily admits to Simon Doonan in the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar that she pays lots of people to make her look as good as she does at 55. “I don’t do anything by myself. I have a whole crew to get me ready every day,” she said. “I believe in glamour. I am in favor of a little vanity. I don’t rely on just my genes. Looking good is a commitment to yourself and to others. Wigs, killer heels, Pilates, even fillers — whatever works for you, honey.” She’s also not afraid to name her enemies in fashion, so long as they’re not around anymore: “Geoffrey Beene! I loved his clothes but not him,” she said. “Years ago, we were about to walk the runway and he pushed me. I said, ‘Don’t do that!’ ‘You work for me!’ he said, and I replied, ‘No, you’ve hired my services, dear. I don’t work for you,’ and I left.” [Harper’s Bazaar]
