Beyoncé's latest DVD of her I Am world tour includes the entire concert plus a bonus 25 minutes of spectacular behind-the-scenes footage of the making of this epic production. This includes Beyoncé's most real moments, like when she obsesses over her show's flaws with no makeup on the helicopter she takes to and from rehearsal, and when she wears completely unsparkly clothes and no makeup to sing with her band. It also includes a rare look at Thierry Mugler working with the self-professed control freak on her costumes. We find out that Beyoncé forced Mugler to turn a black dress white so she has something resembling a wedding gown to wear to sing "Ave Maria." We also find out that after Thierry made the gowns, Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles, came in and made them stage-appropriate so Beyoncé could dance in them. So Thierry Mugler makes them and then Tina has to come in and Tina them out. Learn more about the life of a Beyoncé costume in the video.
