Some intelligence surrounding the epic union of Kate Middleton and Prince William has the bride wearing a dress by a “little-known” designer. This would refute the widespread belief in the betting community that Kate has chosen favorite royal designer Bruce Oldfield — who dressed Princess Diana quite often — to make her wedding gown. Now that Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole, and sister Pippa were spotted spending more than an hour and a half at Oldfield’s shop with Oldfield himself, either all bets are off — or on.
Update: Since news of Pippa and Carole’s visit went global, the Bruce Oldfield store has been besieged by press. “It’s mayhem,” an Oldfield spokesperson tells the Telegraph. “Every time a customer arrives at the shop, they all try and swarm inside, pushing in through the door with her. Their bravado is astounding. We’ve had press inquiries ever since the engagement was announced, but now it’s gone completely global.” Ha, just imagine what will happen to whoever she wears after the wedding. Wu-hoo, you know.
