W’s senior fashion and market editor, Carolyn Tate Angel, was axed from the title on Friday (although there’s no connection, it was the same day as fellow Condé Nast editor Filipa Fino’s departure from Vogue). According to WWD, her dismissal came at the behest of new fashion and style director Edward Enninful, who’s shaking up the masthead as part of his plan to take the magazine in “a new direction.” [WWD]
