Marty Staff, who joined American Apparel in March to help the struggling company beef up its wholesale and retailing businesses, has left his post abruptly with no explanation, reports WWD. Dov Charney stated cryptically that “[Staff’s] contributions to American Apparel have been very substantial,” adding, “I have benefited greatly from his vision and insight.” Prior to working at American Apparel, Staff was the president and CEO of JA Apparel Corp., which owned the Joseph Abboud brand.
