According to WWD's breathless report of Fashion's Night Out in Tokyo this weekend, Anna Wintour "ascended to rock star status," complete with "hordes [who] called out her name ... followed her down the street ... [and] strained their necks to try and catch of glimpse of her" when she made the rounds at various retail stores. She  rewarded their attentions by pounding rice-cake paste with a giant wooden mallet at the Theory store, no doubt impressing onlookers with her tennis muscles.
