Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and mom have very different tastes. “We both have a love of fashion,” she tells the Times. “But besides wearing a lot of black, we dress completely differently.” Now four months pregnant, Julia says that she was initially horrified when her boyfriend Robert Konjic announced his father-to-be status on Facebook, likening the gossip that followed to scurrying "ants." She and Konjic have no plans to wed anytime soon: “Having a baby was more on my wish list than getting married,” she says.
