New Fall 2012 Shows: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Naeem Khan, and More
Can it have been merely a coincidence that many of today's shows — on Valentine's Day, of course — included lots of romantic gowns and sweet pastels? Well, probably, but still. Many of the models at Marc by Marc Jacobs wore pillbox-style caps that would have seemed large and dramatic if it weren't for the "pimp hats" Jacobs showed the night before. Naeem Khan brought glitz, glamour, and lots of black and white circular prints; Oscar de la Renta presented a refined collection of tailored separates in pinks, pale blues, and turquoises — often accessorized, disconcertingly, with pairs of furry boots.
