Although it rained in New York City this weekend, the sun shone strong in Coachella as the festival concluded its final round of performances and parties. In fact, the poolside ragers — namely, Madewell’s fête with IAMSOUND Records at the Ace Hotel and Lykke Li’s turn at the D.J. booth at Indian Wells Esmeralda Resort — rivaled the festival itself when it came to the outfits. Despite bright sunlight and the proximity of water, no one hesitated to combine bathing suits with full makeup, high heels, boots, and other decidedly not-swim-friendly attire. Click through our slideshow for lots of floppy hats, breezy sundresses, and other creative ways to be nearly naked (also, Mad Men’s Janie Bryant!).
